Safety & Security

Committed to Student Safety and Security

At Domuschola, the safety, health, and security of every student is our top priority. Our comprehensive policies and proactive measures ensure a secure and hazard-free learning environment where students can grow and thrive with confidence. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or a field trip, students at DIS are protected by robust systems, trained staff, and thoughtfully designed procedures that ensure their well-being at all times.

Student Safety Measures

We ensure the physical and emotional safety of our students through the following measures:

Accident & Incident Reporting

To ensure accountability and continuous improvement:

Accident Reports (AR)

Accident Reports (AR) are filed for physical injuries (e.g., bruises, scratches, head injuries).

Incident Reports (IR)

Incident Reports (IR) are completed for non-injury incidents involving policy violations or behavioural concerns.

All reports are assessed by the Principal and homeroom teacher, who initiate preventive strategies if required.

Student Accident Insurance

All enrolled students are covered under a Student Group Personal Accident Plan, offering an extra layer of security and peace of mind to families.

Emergency Preparedness & Fire Safety

DIS follows a rigorous emergency evacuation plan that includes:

Student Survival
Kit Guidelines

Preparedness is key. Each student is required to maintain a personal survival kit to be stored at school in a provided hard plastic container.

Contents should include:

These supplies should last at least three days and are checked regularly.

Campus Security Protocols

We ensure campus-wide safety through:

Student Dismissal and Fetcher Policy

To streamline and secure student pick-up:

ID
Verification

Authorised fetchers must present an official Fetcher’s ID.

Controlled Dismissal

Students are released only from a designated area by the homeroom teacher.

Strict
Access

No fetcher’s ID = No entry policy enforced at all times.

Shared Responsibility

Fetchers become responsible for the child upon pick-up, but students are still expected to follow school rules while on campus.

Lost ID cards must be reported immediately. A PHP 100 replacement fee applies. Parents must inform the school if there’s a change in authorised fetchers during the year.

Restricted Areas & Assigned Locations

To maintain order and safety:

Students must remain in assigned areas during school hours unless accompanied by a staff member.

Students may not leave campus between arrival and dismissal without written approval.

Off-limits areas include:

During field trips, P.E. sessions, and after-school activities, students must remain with their assigned teacher/monitor until dismissal.

Student Identification

Each student is issued a DIS Student ID for official identification. This must be used for:

Parent IDs are also issued to allow automatic entry to school premises.

Updating Student Information

To support communication, safety, and emergency response:

Parents must immediately notify the school of any changes in the student’s contact information, address, guardians, or family status.
