Domuschola International School fosters a culture of harmonious collaboration between the school and the parents. We, at Domuschola, believe that a strong home-school partnership paves the path for holistic development of students. We understand that parents play a pivotal role in the education process and the overall development of children, so we encourage parents to be active partners in our mission to provide world-class education to our students. Along with many other initiatives to promote well-rounded development of our students, we make it a point to communicate regularly with parents regarding their children’s performance and progress and also to give them guidance on upbringing. We want the school to be a second home for our students so they can feel confident and perform at the best of their abilities.

Our Core Values Reflect Our Commitment to Promoting Holistic Development of Our Students

Domuschola International School, recognised as one of the top IB schools in Manila, has set forth a well-defined set of core values that further reflect the school’s commitment to promoting well-rounded development of its students. We respect the uniqueness in every child and treat everyone with equal priority. This goes a long way to promote a positive self-image in our students who feel proud to be viewed as a productive and useful resource of the school and the society at large.

A top international school in Pasig City, Domuschola has defined education as a way to empower its students to work in collaboration with each other, to practise critical thinking to solve real-world problems and to take appropriate actions to make a positive difference in communities where they thrive.

As mentioned earlier, Domuschola puts strong emphasis on home-school collaboration to facilitate holistic development of its students. The word “Domuschola” is a combination of two words- Domus, which means “Home” and “Schola”, which means “School”. “Domuschola” represents the two worlds of a student and signifies the identity of the school as an extension of the students’ homes. We, at Domuschola, believe that learning has its application outside the school as well, in home as well as their surrounding environment.

The School’s Motto

The idea of ensuring holistic development of students also gets reflected in the school’s motto- Lux Et Sal Tierra, which means Light and Salt of the Earth. This denotes the role that we expect our students to play when they step into the real world. Light represents “illumination” whereas salt is synonymous with flavour and preservation. Our students are taught to be the “light” for others and to illuminate the society where they belong to while being able to preserve their own cultural heritage and uniqueness. We believe that education is a collaborative process and that the character of a child is shaped through the joint efforts of families, the school and the community.

Recognition of Special Talents

We understand that every child has unique abilities and talents. We offer a wide range of extracurricular and after-school activities including music, athletics, visual arts, meditation, just to name a few. Apart from dividing our students into three different houses, encouraging them to compete as a team in different competitions and fostering the ideas of collaboration and team spirit among them, we strive to help students identify their special talents. Our students also take part in various inter-school competitions organised by reputed organisations across the country. Moreover, we are planning to engage our students in external activities with other schools managed by the Global Schools Foundation.

Giving Back to the Community

Our students take part in diverse community service programmes, which help shape their identities as responsible citizens of the 21st century. Participation in community welfare programmes helps our students evolve as kind and caring individuals who can facilitate positive transformations in their communities.
